“This was my second Art Crawl as an artist and it was one of my best shows of the year. Lakeland has a tight community of people who care about the arts and works very hard to make it known that Lakeland has talented artist in the area willing to support one another. If I hadn't been scouted at Artlando my first year, I don't know if any of this would have happened so I am happy to be a part of it and will continue to support the Lakeland community whenever/however I can.”
“There were several aspects of Art Crawl that I especially enjoyed. One was the closeness of our neighbor’s tents and the kindness and encouragement of the artists involved. The other was the opportunity, as an artist organization, to display our work and be invited into the lives of others that didn’t know we existed or, more importantly, who we get to work with! Our ladies were absolutely enamored with the openness and the engagement of those involved with this event. For our ladies to feel seen and accepted in that arena opens up a space to be human again...and feel alive. Thank you!” - (RePurpose Art Studio in Lakeland is an art organization offering a nurturing space for women in transition out of homelessness, teaching them artistic skills they might be able to use later to earn income.)
"Art Crawl is a great way to bring artists and small businesses to the community. Jen-Ken Kilns is local and has been here for over 60 years and yet we are still not that well known in the community. Art Crawl gives us an avenue to show the people of Lakeland that we exist and we are here to get them connected to their “inner artist”. This connection only further enhances the art community and pushes for Lakeland Business to thrive. Thank you!”
Art Crawl is one of my favorite events. It is a welcome breath of fresh air, featuring the most creative up-and-coming artists. This accessible, quality event is run and supported by people who truly care about each artist in this community. Art Crawl presents a fun, cool, friendly atmosphere that I look forward to each year.
“From the time we arrived in the morning until the time we left I felt so supported and valued as an artist. The volunteers were eager to help and so cheerful about it. My hubby and I were raving about the experience all evening. It was the perfect place for my first big art show. Thank you so much for all of your and the teams hard work. I couldn't have been happier about it!”
“This was my first festival experience and overall it was a positive experience. It is a great first time festival (and repeat festival). The event was well organized, well-advertised, and although I didn't have any sales, I left with a wealth of information (who was drawn to my work, overall response, display ideas, and generally what it's like to do a festival). I also made expanded my network of artists and gallery owners. Plus, the lunch was delicious! Thank you!”
